To anyone reading this, or in general with a pulse, EXPAND YOUR NETWORK. The last year of interning in W&J's Career Services office has taught me so much about the importance of growing my network. After only three weeks in Washington, DC I have attended or seen advertisements for so many networking events. So far, I have gone to two and intend to go to even more over my duration of my stay. I would like to highlight the Mentor Program offered by Kappa Alpha Theta. This week I got to meet my Washington, DC local mentor Kat. Meeting with a young, established professional is really uplifting because in my experience I felt very validated to know that what I have done and what I am doing this summer are actually helping me to build a strong foundation and be a strong applicant to graduate school.

One, two, three strikes the interns come out to the old ball game!!
Although this is not a 'networking' event, a really cool event I tried for the first time this week is the Truckerroo food festival in the National Stadium Bullpen. W&J student Maya Nilkant '19, and I ventured to the Navy Yards in Southeast Washington, DC and learned to corner cross the city for the first time!!
